Self-Portraits

4th Graders learned about artist Amedeo Modigliani and his odd proportions. Students then created their own portraits using Modigliani proportions and oil pastels. As you can see, they were very creative!

Skyscrapers

Kindergartners practiced cutting and gluing skills by creating skyscrapers. They reviewed shape and even got to add a little glitter for stars!

Peacocks

Aren't these beautiful?! I was really amazed at the variety. We used oil pastels and I showed the students how they could blend the colors together.

Later they added background details with colored pencil

O'Keeffe Flowers

5th Graders learned about Georgia O'Keeffe and then created their own watercolor flowers. We discussed different watercolor techniques and complimentary colors.
