Rainforest Animals

This was a project students worked on in both Art and Spanish class. In Spanish they learned about Costa Rica and read the book The Umbrella  by Jan Brett. In art we talked about the Costa Rican Rainforest and watched a great video about sloths. Each student then selected an animal from the rainforest that they wanted to draw and learn about. Finally, the students labeled the animals in spanish.

Perspective

In 4th Grade, I introduce the students to one-point perspective and we create street scenes. In 5th grade, we review one-point perspective with a "bird's eye" view of a city. I got this lesson from the amazing teacher I worked with when I student taught. If you'd like the step-by-step guide I use with my students, let me know!
