  1. I love these abstract sculptures! Can you share a little bit about how you made them?

  2. Sure! So easy and the kids LOVED them.
    1. Drill two holes in a block of wood.
    2. Loop a wire and put each end of the wire into the holes.
    3. Stretch nylon stockings over the wire
    4. Paint nylon with Gesso
    5. When gesso is dried students can paint sculpture with any color acrylic paint. I added a little mod podge to the paint because it was cracking a bit after it dried. That seemed to help a lot

As you can see, I tried different themes with each class. The sculptures that have the words(to represent their personalities) on them were created using magazine clippings and then mod podged over :)

It also looks super neat done with spray paint if you have older students.

Let me know if you have any other questions. I love sharing!
